East West Weddings
Any wedding photographer today will frankly tell you that the industry is on a steady decline. People in America aren’t getting hitched in the same droves as before, but arranged marriages in India and Southeast Asia are on the rise. The U.S. has a large population of Southeast Asians who want their weddings to reflect their culture as well as Western culture. These are the people who led Whitney to start East West Weddings. Whitney grew up with the Gita in his back pocket, and the Maharishi as a father figure. Indian culture is a part of him. It’s that background and love that brought him to found a company with the ideals of celebrating Indian and Southeast Asian cultures and wedding traditions. East West Weddings documents the most meaningful days in the lives of these couples and their families in a way that exalts their backgrounds and stories.
