Yeah! Field Trip
How many photographers does it take to screw in a lightbulb? It doesn’t matter, they’re all camping with Whitney at Yeah Field Trip. Field Trip is a collective and a family of photographers and videographers, as well as an annual week long event. Over 500 artists, sponsors, and teachers attended in 2016, and will no doubt see even more in 2017. Field Trip was created because Whitney saw a hole in the photography conference market. People learn best when they are dropped in the middle of an unfamiliar situation and need to adapt — hence the dropping of 500 artists in the forest of El Capitan Canyon. It’s not a new idea, Field Trip has been happening forever, only in disparate parts: summer camps, art schools, photo conferences, collectives, etc. Now they are all one: Yeah Field Trip.
