Projection Van
Advertising in public space is an increasingly costly endeavor. While at Neverstop, Whitney found a loophole in a traffic law that made for an innovative and inexpensive alternative to outdoor ads. At the time it was legal to drive a vehicle with a projector on it, because no one had done it before and lawmakers didn’t think to make it illegal. The Stealth Van would drive around, raise its pneumatic arm, and project colorful videos, images, and advertisements onto buildings and busy parts of the city. It was an immediate hit, and consumers loved to see it in action. Unfortunately, since its debut, the city of Hollywood has made it illegal. Still, it was a success and a great project.
